Eye Candy: The Decon Chamber

One of the producer's goals for Star Trek: Enterprise was to give Trek more sex appeal.  One of the ways they tried to do that was by creating the "Decon Chamber" where our heroes would have to spend time cleaning themselves after returning to the ship from away missions.  

Though the idea makes sense, there was a great deal of backlash from fans who saw it for what it was: a blatant way to get more nudity on screen.  By the end of the first season, the Decon Chamber was being used less and when it was, its occupants wore more clothing.

NOH8 Day

Yesterday was NOH8 Day. The NOH8 Campaign is a response to Proposition 8 in California which banned same sex marriage in that state. The campaign was created by photographer Adam Bouska.  The campaign is a photographic silent protest, symbolizing all the voices that have been silenced as a result of Prop 8.

Several Star Trek stars have leant their faces to the campaign in the last three years.
